This review is for the Brazos Free Form Hickory stick in 58 length. It arrived in a sturdy cardboard tube. The stick itself is far sturdier and no way do I see breaking this unless maybe trying to use it as a lever. I count at least 15 years of growth rings on its top. The actual length was 57.5 and it weighs a bit over 2 lbs. The diameter at the very top is about 1.5 . It is perhaps a bit less straight than the picture, but not enough to compromise its balance or function in any way. I find the irregularities aesthetically pleasing. The rubber tip seems to work as one might hope and it didn t pack up unduly when using it in snow. The rawhide cord however seems to serve little purpose and soon went into a drawer. The lacquer finish is quite smooth and I could see this being a bit slippery with sweaty bare hands but wearing leather gloves I had no issues. I have since wrapped the top 12 or so with handlebar tape so expect no problems come summertime.Read full 50 ratings for Brazos Free Form Hickory Walking Stick Trekking Pole, Made in The USA at Amazon Reviews
