I m a 64 year old male who usually commutes to work in the summers on my bike. Winters however find me gaining weight and not doing enough cardio. I studied a number of stationary bikes and not wanting a spinning bike, I chose this one based on quality and price. The package arrived in good shape and the bike only took me about a half an hour to assemble. The tools needed were included and I found the instructions to be simple and complete. I had read about an issue that people with larger feet could hit their heels on the cranks while pedaling. I have rather large feet and I did find this to be the case with mainly the left pedal. The left crank is closer, by about 1 4 , to the body of the the bike than the right. Not sure why it couldn t have been designed to have the pedals equally spaced on either side. I added a few washers to bring the left pedal out a bit and that seems to have solved the problem for me. I also initially experienced a problem with a knocking coming from the left side while pedaling and after trouble shooting, found that the knock was generated by the pedal itself. I called Nautilus and was greeted by a friendly and helpful representative who agreed with me that the pedal was the problem and I was quickly sent a replacement. I was very impressed with the service. I do wish the control panel lcd s were backlit but I knew this going in. Functions all work as they should and the fan is a nice touch. The bike pedals very smoothly and is almost silent. All in all, for the few compromises I made in the decision to by this model, I couldn t be happier. Cheers
